Thanks to the hard work and determination of the people of Hertfordshire a state of the art Air Ambulance was launched in November 2008.

• It costs around £120,000 per month to
  operate the aircraft 5 days a week.

THANK YOU to the people of Hertfordshire for helping to make the challenge a reality! 
However, this is just the beginning, maintaining the service will only be possible through the continued generosity of the people of our County.

A Statement about the Children’s Air Ambulance

We have recently been made aware by supporters and the police that canvassers from the Children’s Air Ambulance have been calling on homes in our area. Whilst we acknowledge that the Children’s Air Ambulance is a registered charity, we wish to draw to the attention of our supporters the following points:

• The Children’s Air Ambulance is in no way connected to the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance Trust.
•  Essex and Herts Air Ambulance Trust employs canvassers to promote the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance Trust Flight for Life Lottery Ltd but they do not ask for cash at the door.
• All our canvassers wear Essex Air Ambulance or Herts Air Ambulance branded clothing and carry ID badges.
• Our canvassers only ask people to sign up to the Flight for Life Lottery by Direct Debit and do not ask people to part with their cash.
   

Anyone that gets a visit from a canvasser is reminded to ask for I.D. If you are still not sure please contact the Lottery Team in the first instance on 0845 2417 688 for clarification.

Fancy a walk?

There's not long left to sign up for Challenge ICELAND. A walking experience to raise vital funds for Herts Air Ambulance.

Trek with us in July 2010 for 4 days through breath-taking scenery and camp in remote wilderness. Experience water crossings and geothermal swimming...all part of this 6 day trip in the magnificent natural wilderness of Iceland! At the end of the trek you can even take part in one of the optional tours available...whale watching or a dip in the Blue Lagon!

The adventure will take place between 15th and 20th July 2010.

A Statement about Clothes Collections for East Anglian Air Ambulance

We have recently been made aware by supporters and the Police that bogus collectors have been dropping clothes collection leaflets at homes in our area in the name of East Anglian Air Ambulance.

We should make it clear that neither the East Anglian Air Ambulance nor World UK Trading Ltd are responsible for these bogus collectors.  World UK Trading Ltd is extremely upset that their good name is being abused in this way through no fault of their own and are doing everything in their power to assist the police.

We would like to draw to the attention of our supporters the following points:

•  World UK Trading Ltd is in no way connected to the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance Trust.
• Essex and Herts Air Ambulance do not currently collect door to door for recycled clothing and used inkjet cartridges.
• If you receive a leaflet appearing to be from East Anglian Air Ambulance, please call the Fundraising Office on 0845 2417 690.
